Abstract: An experimental investigation for heat transfer and flow friction characteristics of annular grooved tube bundles under six different shell support conditions is reported in this paper. A comparative evaluation based on the experimental results is carried out by means of Webbs performance evaluation criteria. It is concluded that it would be best to select support structure with the least flow friction at the shell side of annular grooved tube bundles.
