Abstract:

Cellulose ethanol has become a priority of research with a bright future. It may become one of the most important renewable energy sources in the future.  Cellulose ethanol research & development is reviewed, and the development history and the latest worldwide progress of cellulose ethanol research & development are summarized. The difficulties and problems in current cellulose ethanol commercialization are analyzed. The directions of research & development are presented.
