Abstract:
A method of heat exchanger network (HEN)integration based on optimization of parameters k and z was presented.The method could decrease the total annual cost of HEN, simplify the structure of HEN and was suitable especially for heat exchanger networks with different heat transfer coefficients.The total annual cost was considered as the objective function for optimization of parameters k and z.The optimal ranges of parameters k and z were determined by network constraints, and the optimal parameters kopt and zopt were obtained through the two-dimensional optimization method.ΔT-contribution was decided according to kopt and zopt, and finally the HEN optimal design was realized.A case study demonstrated the effectiveness and prospect of application of the method proposed in this paper.
