基于积分近似矩量法的声波团聚数值模拟

Abstract:

Acoustic agglomeration is a potential aerosol pre-conditioning technology which can greatly reduce particulate emission.Experimental research on this technology is extensive.However, most of the existing numerical simulations are slow and not precise enough.A numerical model of acoustic agglomeration was developed based on orthokinetic and hydrodynamic mechanisms, and was solved by using the newly developed quadrature method of momentsQMOM.The results showed that this method was much faster and more precise than the discrete method.Then, the numerical simulation of acoustic agglomeration was validated by using experimental data.The effectiveness of acoustic agglomeration was sensitively dependent on acoustic frequency.The optimal frequency for coal-fired fly ash was about 1500 Hz.In addition, the results showed that the effectiveness of acoustic agglomeration increased rapidly as the standard deviation of particle size distribution increased.However, agglomeration was slightly enhanced with the increase in temperature.
