Abstract: Two kinds of liq-liq. system and columns of 1-inch and 2-inches diameter have been used in this study. Correlation of all experimental data gives an equation of the type Vd/x + Vc/(1-x) = Vo (1-x)n instead of the more simple equation Vd/x + Vc/(1-x)=V0(1-x) given by J. D. Thornton. Data of kerosene-water system in 1-inch column gives n=2.2±0.2. Flooding velocities calculated by use of the equation obtained are very close to the values actually measured.
摘要: 实验采用了两种液-液体系和1吋与2吋直径的筛板塔。关联实验数据所得的公式为V_d/x+V_c/(1-x)=V_o(1-x)~n,而不是J.D.Thornton所提出的比较简单的V_d/x+V_c/(1-x)=V_o(1-x)。从1吋塔,煤油-水体系的数据获得n=2.2±0.2。用所得公式计算的“泛点”流速非常接近实验测得的数值。
