Abstract:
It is unfavorable for industrial application that the induction time of hydrate formation in present process using hydrate for separation of carbon dioxide from IGCC(integrated gasification cycle combustion)syngas is generally longer and that the CO2 separation and H2 purification based on single hydrate process is incomplete.In this paper, the formation of IGCC syngas hydrate is carried out in a mixture liquid of 0.29%(mol) TBAB aqueous solution and 5%(vol) cycloheptane(CP).Its rate increases remarkably at the condition of 273.65—277.65 K and 2.5—4.5 MPa, and the induction time is cut down to 0.51 min for fresh water and 0.35 min for cyclic water, respectively.Besides, a combined process(hydrate stage and chemical absorption)is proposed to separate CO2 and purify H2 from IGCC syngas.The H2 content in final gas released from MEA solution is 99.6%(mol).The content of carbon dioxide(CO2)can be 99.2%(mol) if a second hydrate stage is employed.So, purification of H2 and separation of CO2 from IGCC syngas could be effective and complete.
