Abstract: For certain types of chemical reactor whose catalyst decays rapidly but reversibly, continuous operation is possible by the use of a moving bed radial flow reactor. There is an upper limit on the flowrate of gas imposed by the mechanical phenomenon of "pinning" and the formation of cavity. The dimensionless pressure drop for cavity initiation can be predicted by using the theories of particulate media mechanics, with the gas stream flowing outward radially. The theoretical results agree very well with the experimental data.

摘要: 对于催化剂不断失活但可再生的工业过程,广泛采用移动床径向反应器在较低的系统压降下进行连续操作.此时存在由贴壁和空腔现象所决定的径向气体流量的上限值.本文分析了有径向离心气体流动时颗粒层中的应力分布,应用散料力学理论建立了计算床中初始形成空腔时无因次床层总压降的理论模型,模型预测值与实验值符合很好.同时测定了不同条件下空腔界面的形状.
