Abstract: Rising crude oil price and development of biological ethanol have influenced ethylene production. The technology of ethylene production from ethanol dehydration is discussed, including the development and research of dehydration catalyst, technologies and economics of different production technologies, and the important role of developing the technology of producing ethylene from ethanol is indicated.

摘要： 介绍了乙醇脱水制乙烯生产工艺的技术发展现状，涉及催化剂研制应用现状、不同生产工艺的技术经济比较等，并指出了在现有能源需求背景下，发展乙醇法制乙烯的重要意义及应用前景。
