Abstract: The scale-up effect, which is a key factor controlling the performance of industrial cyclones, is conventionally estimated through grade efficienty curves. A new principle based on the centrifugal separation factor (CSF) is proposed to improve the scale-up procedure in designing industrial cyclones.
